AN INTERSTATE DRUGS SYNDICATE BUSTED BY THE TEAM OF ANTI-NARCOTICS CELL, NORTH DISTRICT
• FIVE GANG MEMBERS INDULGED IN ILLICIT SUPPLY/SALE OF GANJA ARRESTED.
• TOTAL 51.5 KG “GANJA” AND CASH RS. 1,02,510/- RECOVERED.
• ONE CAR MAKE i-10 USED FOR SUPPLY OF GANJA RECOVERED.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:
A team of Anti-Narcotics Cell, North District led by SI Jagbir Khatri, (I/C Anti-Narcotics Cell), comprising SI Rinku Bhakar, ASI Shri Dhar, HC Naresh, HC Rahul, HC Saurav, Ct Deepanshu, Ct Vinit and Ct Dinesh was developing information continuously about the drug suppliers in the area of North District, under the supervision of Ms. Vidhushi Kaushik, ACP/Operations Cell/North District, Delhi.
The diligent and enthusiastic efforts of police team paid dividends when on 25.11.2025, on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted in B-Block Kamalpur, Kamal Vihar, Burari, Delhi and a person identified as Jitender @ Jitu was found selling Ganja from his residence. On search of his house, total 6.132 Kg Ganja and cash Rs. 1,02,510/- were recovered. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 1101/25 u/s 20/25 NDPS Act was registered at PS Burari, Delhi and the investigation was taken up.
INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION
During interrogation, accused Jitender disclosed that he used to buy Ganja @ Rs. 10,000 per kg from different people including Anil, Sabita Devi and Ram Kumar. On the basis of his disclosure, on 26.11.25, a raid was conducted in J-Block, Swaroop Nagar, Delhi from where one lady supplier identified as Sabita Devi aged 50 years, W/o Ravinder Singh was arrested with the recovery of 1.542 Kg Ganja. During interrogation, she disclosed that she used to buy illegal Ganja from her brother-in-law Anil who resides in Banaras, UP.
Further, technical surveillance was mounted to get the whereabouts of drug supplier Ram Kumar and on the intervening night of 01/02.12.25, a raid was conducted at Ghaziabad Railway Station, but he succeeded to escape from there. The police team continued chasing him with the help of technical surveillance and after a long chase of about 25 kilometers, accused Ram Kumar aged 52 years, r/o Indrapuri Patliputra, District Patna, Bihar, was apprehended near Badkal Mall Metro Station, Faridabad, Haryana while he was delivering the consignment of Ganja to his associate namely Brijpal aged 30 years, r/o Sangam Vihar, Devli, Delhi. Receiver Brijpal was also apprehended from there along with a car make i-10 being used by him for taking consignment of Ganja. Total 30.431 Kg Ganja was recovered from their possession.
During interrogation, accused Ram Kumar disclosed that he and his associate Arun Roy, both hail from Bihar resided in a rented house in Noida, UP. They used to bring the consignment of Ganja from their source in Tripura for the last one year and further supplied the same to different persons in Delhi and NCR regions. On the basis of his disclosure, his associate Arun Roy aged 40 years, r/o Village Paharpur District Vaishali, Bihar was also apprehended on 02.12.25 from Yusufpur Chak Sahaberi, Noida, UP. On interrogation, he disclosed that he had kept some stock of Ganja at the house of his known at Sai Upwan Society, Noida, UP. The police team immediately reached there and after search of the house, total 13.433 Kg Ganja was recovered. All the five accused persons have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to nab accused persons indulged in this racket.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
- Jitender @ Jitu aged 45 years, r/o B-Block Kamalpur, Kamal Vihar, Burari, Delhi. Previously, he was found involved in 02 cases of Excise Act of Police Stations Sarita Vihar and Burari, Delhi.
- Sabita Devi aged 50 years, W/o Ravinder Singh, r/o J-Block Swaroop Nagar, Delhi. Previously, she was found involved in a case of NDPS Act of PS Samai Pur Badli, Delhi.
- Ram Kumar aged 52 years, r/o Indrapuri Patliputra, District Patna, Bihar. Previously, he was found involved in a case of NDPS Act in Tripura.
- Brijpal aged 30 years, r/o Block L-1, Sangam Vihar, Devli, Delhi.
- Arun Roy aged 40 years, r/o Village Paharpur District Vaishali, Bihar.
All the accused persons are school dropouts and indulged in the illicit supply of drugs to earn easy money.
RECOVERY:
- Total 51.538 Kg Ganja.
- Cash Rs. 1,02,510/-
- One Car make i-10.
